As a result of my investigation survey on a few of preceeding items which has been based on 216 settlers to be admitted in Chilgog Ranch for stonic lepers which is located on Yeonho-dong, Jicheon-myeon. Chilgog-gun, Gyeongsangbug-do as an object, I came to the conclusion as follows: 1. The fact that the attack of leprosy has been arisen predominantly at the age of around 20 years old while that the lepers have been found out chiefly at the age of from 30 to 39 years old, shows us that they have lived at the present address throgh a long period of medical treatment after an attack of leprosy. And the fact that old lepers have still been alive over 60 years old, tells us that the leprosy has nothing to do with life itself. 2. As a result of investigation in the respect of education on lepers, it shows us that the more they get education, the less we find lepers. This goes with the same as cultural level or living standard equally. The ratio of an attack of leprosy has been found much less in those who have receive higher education and living in the better envioronment while those who have not received any education due to the poor living situation are easily to be leprous. This is the same case as general disease. 3. As a general idea on disease, the answers-from those who have been sick have been found out as follows: The fact that I don’t know myself by what disease I am sick of shows predominant as 71%. The fact that I have been caught by comtmunical disease shows 24% and that I think I am sick of some disease shows 4.6%.
